GT has no shame in saying that with 6 Billion people on the planet I refuse to believe that there can only be one path to God. Meet Iyanla. One of GT’s spiritual gurus and a “friend in the head.”  The woman talks plain, sensible and her “purple book” Acts of Faith remains on my list of go to books for my soul’s interior. Her MO: self-reliance and personal strength. The two aspects that deal with the evolution of YOU.

What is your go to book for restorative spiritual healing?

Thanks for posting about this wonderful woman. I first discovered Iyanla nine years ago when she was on Oprah and purchased her book “One Day My Soul Just Open Up: 40 day and 40 nights to spritual strenght and personal growth. I LOVE this book so much that I have gone back to it many, many, times over the years and I will continue to do so. I think what makes her so special is she gives you practical advise on how to walk in faith and love and she is not afraid to share her own personal stories. I have shared this book with others as gifts and will continue to do so. I aslo have “In the Meantime”. I am currently in love with Eckhart Tolle in that I just finished “A New Earth”. I instantly connected with this book and it will be a book I will surely come back to again and again. I have recently purchased “The Power of Now” by him as well. I also have a couple of books by Joyce Meyer that I like as well.

I like that Joyce Meye as well. I don’t really have a “go to”. I just step away and take time to rest, rejuvinate and touch base with myself. I thank God for my life everyday when I wake up.

I don’t have a “go to” book. I heal myself mostly… through introspection. I take in and examine things I’ve said, done, and thought. It’s like a self-help book in my own head! LOL

I do really, really dig Iyanla though. I learned of her through Oprah in the 90′s I think and thought she was awesome ever since.

I’d love to find a “go to” book though…

    Love Love Love Iyala.

Loved a “New Earth” and “The Power of Now.”
Eckhardt’s book however aren’t for novice readers of spiritual text. It’s why I love Iyanla cause you can read her books and instantly connect.

I love Marianne Williamson, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith, James Earl Ray, just to name a few…and course there’s the DVD…”The Secret”…

I just found a name for the types of spiritual books I enjoy. It’s called New thought. Here’s a link of New Thought writers…
