happy monday.

Happy Monday and E-hugs to my readers.

Getting into your beeswax. What was your two days like?

As for GT, I witnessed the debates and went out to support Spike’s new joint. A mini-review of some sort will be coming up..but I’m curious about your thoughts. Did any of you see the film or would you rather spend your 2.4 hours and ten dollars buffing your toenails?

I performed at a spoken word show Sunday, I was awesome (and I am usually quite self-critical), I got a paid feature gig off the strentgh of the performance, so I am quite elated today!

And as for the movie, I plan on seeing it on my next 2 Days.

    Hey, GT

I went to a debate party Friday night, and I stayed up until the wee hours discussing talking points. Saturday, I attended a housewarming event; the host could have used your advice. I actually think I am going to send her your link just in case she decides to host anything else. I went to book club on Sunday; our selection was “Water for Elephants.” Although I was a bit apprehensive about reading this book, it turned out to be a good story. I love the ladies in book club! I prefer books that are a little more cerebral than the books that we sometimes choose, but quite honestly, I love being with them more than I love most of the books we choose!

Next week, I am going to attend a writing workshop at a Unitiarian Universalist church in DC. I am really excited!

    Blessings.

Congrats Naturally Alise. Spoken word is awesome; a paid gig is just icing on the cake.

    Kudos gurl!

    Hey Ramona.

Good to hear from you. Been missing your voice round this parts…lol…As for the debate I’m happy to hear that you were able to get into it; hope you had a glass of wine or two to boot..

And thanks for the compliment..word of mouth is the name of the game…

And yes…I love the camaraderie of book clubs. I prefer the “Toni Morrison” books over the “Zane” as well…but I’ve learned to accept that its all good and its all great just to be around other women and hearing opinions and perspectives on life. A book club is great for that…

    GT.

I did the debate party…went to a wine bar. It’s always nice to have an occasion to hob nob with folks. Barack didn’t go for the jugular like I wanted him to; but I see the method to his madness. That’s one cool brother.

    BTW…love espresso…you?

I saw the debates. Eh. Pretty uneventful weekend, as we were dealing with colds and stuff. I’m going to see the movie.
