GT is generally intrigued by bold and courageous cause sometimes you just wonder where on earth do people get the courage to live unapologetically. People like Muhammad Ali and Harriet Tubman. But today GT is talking about Ms. Nina Simone. She is without a doubt one of those people. A powerfully commanding woman, Nina lived to serve the bitter truth and was a living authentic goddess.
That voice, that piano, that rugged spirit, the courageousness, the regal-ness, her music, the boldness and that face say a lot about who this woman was and how many lives that she’s influenced because of it. GT has zero & zilch musical ability but when I hear this woman’s voice I wanna be brave even when I’m a wuss.
There are certain people in history that you just wish you could just go back and meet.
Iconic indeed.

She’s truly wonderful and I adore her. I want to be Nina when I grow up. She is my namesake and I had an uncle who never called me Simone. He called me Nina all my life. What a human being she was! I miss her because there will never be another.
She made me proud to be Black because of her incredible talent and ferocious spirit. She was a force to be reckoned with.

I agree wholeheartedly TJ. My favorite are “I’ll put a Spell on You and “Feeling Good.”
Classic and Timeless.

Nina always looks like she’s not the one to be played with. I love that pic of her!
