But on the contrary there are some women who are all about the pioneering and the advancement of the craft of what it means to be a true actor. Meet Anna Deavere Smith; a three way punch of brains, beauty and braun mixed with the uncanny ability of not being afraid of ugly. Anna is a critically acclaimed stage actress, professor, playwright, has done one woman shows, was nominated for a Pulitzer, Two Tony’s, has 19 honorary degrees and was handpicked as one of Oprah’s Legends. She’s passionate. inspiring and someone we should all know.

I dig Anna big time! Now that is talent. I saw her and my future husband Wentworth Miller in “The Human Stain.” They were the best part of a mediocre film @ best. Heart breaking.
