start collecting.
GT loves home design; but I refuse to dictate my particular aesthetic and tastes as the measuring stick of what will ultimately make you happy. I do realize that some people like fug stuff; but the point is that we all have different floats that will rock our boats. Getting to know what I liked required a fun discovery process, lots of trial and error and having an open mind.
With that being said, design and color inspiration can come from any where. Endless magazines, art museums, postcards, and Ikea catalogs are at our disposal…I mean…the choices are really limitless. So I say to you: start collecting. Get a binder, memory book or an inspiration board and go to town.

I have an inspiration baord and I usually change it out pretty often. it’s been AGES! This post of yours comes right on time GT. I’m starting to get the travel bug again and I’m going to put some places I’d like to visit on my board.

One of my fave painters from The Renaissance…Caravaggio as Bacchus/Dionysus. I had an opportunity to visit Florence and studied art history for 2 years as an undergrad and he became a fave of mine.
