I get the fact that black women have been conditioned to not fully embrace their natural curl pattern. I get that. But that's their personal issue and we've all been there with that struggle. Different strokes for different folks. I do what I like (which has included damn near everything under the sun) and I accept that people do what they like. I spent years faking it, until I realized one day i am going to have to look in the mirror and Love what I see no matter if its short, long, thin, whatever it will have to be mine and it will have to be me. I have made progress but I am still very much working on coming to a mends with MY identity. It matters to me ALOT (may hair). For some reason I may never know.
