the beeswax.

Cyber hugs to lurkers and GT readers…what it do?

To start off quick my weekend was meh. That’s it. Meh. But GT’s grown enough to know that every weekend won’t be a peach when you’re living this thing called life.  My kitchen sink clogged, my laundry grew outrageously, the produce that T bought this past week rotted in the bottom of the fridge, and worst off T absentmindedly forgot to feed “Seymore” my low maintenance Beta Fish over the weekend. It rained all day Saturday and into the night in New York, and Block Buster’s shelves’ were raided. Shout outs to the universe for that thing called daily renewal.

Anyrottenway…how was you wkd?

I was in bed by nine on Friday.

I got to catch up on some reading on Saturday during the day; in the evening, I visited friend who wanted me to see her newly painted dining room. She painted her dining room walls an incredible shade of red. We went out for Panang Tofu and soup during my visit.

On Sunday, I went to a beautiful church service. The pulpit band sand Pink Floyd’s “Time” and Harry Chapin’s “Cats in the Cradle.” I ran some errands Sunday afternoon…

My friend is bringing her and toddler and her new baby over to my house for a visit before her husband gets off work this afternoon. I have to pick up gifts on my way home from work.

    Cyber hugs GT.

I stayed home Friday night from a much looked forward to “get together” because my SPRINT CELL PHONE did not give me any of the calls that I was waiting for YET they say they’d took turns calling me for 4 hours.

I woke up EARLY on a Saturday to come in to work which is usually an off day, took the initiative to learn a new department as preciously recommended by my MANAGER in a recent review and NOW my MANAGER is UPSET about it???? So I am “pissed” about that but trying really hard to brush it off but yeah, not working.

Saturday night I realized I am “FAT” when my friend had no trouble finding anything to wear and had pity on me trying to locate me something that would “fit” and now I am extremly mad at food.

Sunday. ALways a beautiful day (should be anyway). I recalled all the AWESOME thing GOD has done for me and my family.

Monday. I PRAY HIS STRENGTH not to slap somebody up in here!

    Whew. (breath)

Peace and Love. Kisses and Hugs.

After work on Friday, I spent the evening with college friends in a business meeting, working out the details for the monthly networking event we plan to hold starting in January. We also worked on the layout for our urban (hate that word, but sometimes it’s hard to describe thing without it) career/lifestyle magazine that’s slated to launch in Fall ‘09. It’s coming together very well.

On Saturday, despite the rain, I went to the movies with the BF, and saw that Seth Rogen movie, because he has a man-crush on him. I could barely watch (I was shocked by all the sex and nekkidness, but more shocked by the amount of senior citizens in the theater).

Sunday was spent all by my lonely–just the way I like it. I rearranged my closet and got rid of clothes that I know I will never wear again–I was mad at myself for having so many clothes that still had tags on them. I hit up Target and Bed Bath & Beyond for new drapes and a lamp, and shuffled some things around, and now my bedroom looks totally different.

Sorry about your wknd GT. Subscribe to Netflix and you won’t miss out. I got off work Friday and it was a whopping 80 degrees here in San Fran. Came home, had some sparkling wine and relaxed.

Saturday, I enjoyed the sunshine, did some reading and chatted on the phone. Sunday, I treated myself to breakfast at my local diner and went to see “Quantum of Solace” with the sexy Daniel Craig.

He and Judy Dench were wonderful, but the movie fell into the old Bond mold with too many stunts, side plots and not enough on Bond and his grief over Vesper. Didn’t hate it, but didn’t love it.

    Simone.

It’s funny you recommended NetFlix. I had an account with them before; but a sista was never home over the Summer and I just deaded it. But now with winter here…it’s always nice to have a glass and chill with a flick. Signed up again on Saturday…lol…

Other than the fact that we have been stuck inside of our house since Friday, thanks to these CA fires, it was great! I cooked, played Wii…made some desserts. Yup. That’s it.

I had to be in bed early Friday because I had to get up early Saturday. By Saturday afternoon I was too tired for shopping drama, so I stayed in. Sunday evening I watched a movie, but I got a lot done, so it’s okay.
