The color issue has been beaten like a dead horse and I realize that there's a lot of hurt and pain behind it. But what I don't get is how we'll continue to identify with that pain; rather than do something about it. I'm a brownie and growing up I heard the comments; but if I let that stop me I wouldn't be here in this moment doing what I love... Plus. I know it's easier said than done, but IMO people need to pack up their issues, realize that SELF-esteem is controlled by the one who owns it, and move forward. We can't be on this color-war thing forever. It's not productive. Very well said.
