words to live by.

This is a sharing and caring post.

The term awareness is all the rage now and if you haven’t gotten the memo then use this quickie read to turn the lights on. Nothing deep. Just an exercise. For the rest of your day pay attention to the flow of words that leave your lips. See how many times you affirm life in the negative.

Believe it or not; GT used to be, and sometimes still is the Queen of “I can’t, I don’t have it, I can’t afford it, I’ll try, I don’t wanna be…until I had an “Oh Snap!” moment; realizing how much I defeated myself with my own language. Yep. Awareness will handle you.

  1. Instead of “I’ll try” say “I’ll do my best”
  2. Instead of  ”I can’t” say “I’m not able right now
  3. Instead of  ”I don’t wanna be fat” affirm “I want to be fit/lean/strong.”
  4. Instead of “That’s hard” say “That’s challenging.”
These exercises are mind blowing; cause your words have more energy that you give them credit for. You’ll realize how much crap you feed yourself on the daily with negative self chatter.

What are some trivial negative things that float around in your dome piece?

    GT,

A few years ago, I replaced “I can’t” with “I am not willing to…” Girl, you are right; awareness will handle you!

    Have a good weekend.

Too True GT. Words have power and when you speak them, you make them “real”. I don’t engage in alot of negative thinking. It’s not my nature and I grew up w/too many negative people to submit to defeatism.

I get down sometimes, we all do. It’s procrastination that get’s me! Doggone it!

I WILL get it done TODAY.
