for the tonka trucks.

There are some “bowl of boring” children’s books out there but an awesome picture book read can go a long way in bonding with a child and rediscovering your own inner tonka truck. My fave was and always will be The Giving Tree;  I nagged mom all day every day for a read till she wanted to hit me in the head with a brick. GT personally handpicked these choices because of their mesmerizing ability to captivate folks young and old. They’re either new classics or tried and trues that have stood the test of time. And if I were you I’d jump on this Amazon Deal where you can get Jalani and the Lock for $0.90 cents. Don’t know dude from a can of paint but he wrote and illustrated a stunningly brilliant yet simple picture book about slavery. Books like this don’t come by too often.

It might not be featured here but what was/is your favorite kid book of all time?

Aw man! You’re making me smile more than ever today GT. My fave is a book listed and that’s “The Snowy Day.” I loved all of Dr. Seuss’ books as well. My niece is a year old and I’m going to order some of these books for her.

Also, I’m looking for some books for my nephew. He’s 11. Any recommendations?
