GT is sure that there’s a film you’ve seen where actor Jeffrey Wright played a role and you didn’t even know it was him till somebody told you so. Jeffrey is one of those rare actors that make you go “Oh Snap Son…was that him?”
Jeffrey is that dude. And there isn’t a person alive who doesn’t see great things in this man’s glass globe; his acting depth and potential are infinite. Anybody who can play Martin Luther King, Basquiat, Colin Powell, A Dominican Drug Dealer, and currently Blues Musician Muddy Waters deserves plenty run and shine. All GT can say is thank God that there are blactors who are in the game who still believe in not only respecting the craft; but earning it. I still think Wright should’ve played Walter Lee in the remake of the Raisin in the Sun; instead they let Diddy purchase sledgehammer and desecrate Sidney Poitier’s name. He who owns the gold makes the rules huh?

OMG! I so love this guy. I first saw him do his thing in “Angels in America”. He was awesome in all of his characters. And I totally agree about Diddy and his blasphemous portrayal of Walter Lee in “Raisin in the Sun”.

Mr. Wright can do no wrong – okay, that was a lame one, but he really is this generations most versatile and compelling thespian. Very few actors can carry a movie no less a scene these days, so he’s refreshing to behold whether lead or supporting. His greatness has been shown in films too numerous to mention, so I’ll simply say bravo to the brotha for now and til the next flick, indeed.
