When it comes to recessed lighting its usually the last thing that comes to mind in decorating when it should be the first in creating a room that makes you happy. Good lighting influences and sets the mood, bad lighting makes you look God awful and has been known to ruin a good picture or three. Halogen lamps are so circa 1988; plus *womp womp* they have been know to burn down a house like a maniacal deep fryer. Folks. Good lighting is worth the effort. Here’s a roundup of some cutesy finds.

Countess Square Scramble
Dane Pendant Lamp
Love ‘em both! I’m looking for substantial fixtures because my room has a 16-18 foot ceiling. Cavernous doesn’t begin to describe it. Anything small would be engulfed. LOL

Love all the ones at the bottom. Really.
And I nearly burned down the house with a halogen – definitely a no go.

I’m telling you. If you change just one light fixture it will make you smile just looking at it…
