warning.
The passion of Get Togetha’s focus is on home decor and lifestyle. But GT must lay a disclaimer for those of you who’d rather have a turkey burger and cheese fries than to read a combo menu of home decor finds and spirit musings. Here’s a GT disclaimer:
- We all aren’t ready for growth at the same time nor does GT expect you to be.
- GT’s modus operandi is that you are the creator of your life.
- If GT’s writing about it that means that I’ve been there. I repeat. And I repeat. It doesn’t mean that I’m a know it all and that I’ve arrived dressed to the nines on the spiritual red carpet. GT herself is growing, expanding, changing changing and sometimes its effin sux.
- Resistance and Acceptance are kissing cousins and are two of the most complicated lessons in life to learn.
- Every day is a new chance to be made over.
GT’s POV might throw you a for a loop but if you ride or die with me then you’ll see the light at the end of your own personal tunnel. GT’s philosophy is that home and heart are one and that the reflection of how you live is a reflection of what’s going on in your spirit. That’s heavy for some folks to swallow and hence why nobody really touches it. Its not as much fun as looking at pretty pictures, and talking greasy. But GT lives for the challenge. And I’m assuming that since your eyeballs are going back and forth across this page you might be interested in some kind of evolution and a new way of coming into your own; even if that means looking at the pretty pictures and keeping it moving.

XOXOXO’s to Ms. G!
You always hit it dead on. My apt used to be sooo cluttered, and my desk, thus = cluttered life. I found myself unhappy, confused, my mind felt like it was running out of space. I even was cluttering up my love life with non sense. It just seemed as long as my surroundings were out of place, then my spirit couldn’t get in place, and my mind could’nt get in place and nothing was in place!!
It’s really true when they say you have to build your own world.

Tell it GT. Home is the foundation and base. If it’s a stinkin’ pile of poo, how in the world can you function anywhere else?

The reflection of how you live is a reflection of what’s going on in your spirit.
I’m going to frame that and use it as a motivator this year. I’m also going to go clean something.

You always hit it! Sometimes I forget to focus on home, and then my life starts spinning out of control… Thanks for being courageous.

I find it the other way around. When I cleaned up my life, I just suddenly found the energy and motivation to declutter my space. When my life is a mess, I kind of get addicted to living in a mess…even though I hate it, I can’t seem to get it together to do that daily organizing. When my space starts getting disorganized, it’s an indication to me there’s other things in my life I need to start dealing with.
