domino mag is dunzo.

My favorite home decor mag is dunzo. Damn. Damn. Damn. I knew this day was coming but I didn’t want to accept it. The issues just kept getting thinner and thinner as GT flipped through less and less glossy pages. House & Garden, Blueprint and now this. Thank heavens they were able to publish one of the greatest decor porn design books of 2008 before the boat tipped over. Times are a changing people. You may have not been able to afford the stuff in their magazine; but dang if the images weren’t pretty to look at. GT has now officially got a major case of the sads.

Wow, I know how you feel. Domino has been my favorite magazine since its debut. I keep all of the issues in magazine files in my office and have those wonderful tape flags throughout each issue. Do you know when the last issue will be?

This is so not fair, I’m still in serious mourning for the loss of Blueprint and now Domino is going

Hey First Lady…
They’re just going to switch you to a magazine that you have no interest in….I happened to me when I subscribed to Blueprint…I got Martha Stewart home instead…

I subscribed when it first came out because the concept of design for the “masses” and DIY for those with a small budget was a great one. I gradually lost interest as it became more invested in celebrity.
Most Americans just aren’t living like that. It’s too bad it folded, but maybe it can come back in another form appropriate for the times we live in.

It was such a fun and girly shelter magazine.

Dag!! I do like this mag. As a matter of fact, I’ve noticed quite a few major magazines thinning out.

WHAT?! NOOOOO (deep breath) OOOOOOOOOO! How can this be?…I shall wear black. Yes, the prices were a little out of hand and they focused on celebrity or almost-celeb homes but the images were so delicious. They had the reader-submitted rooms that were so good. I wonder how long they’re going to keep the website…I need to move my Deco file to Kaboodle or something, lol.

Given their penchant for overpriced things – I never REALLY understood who their demographic was because I certainly couldn’t afford most things they showcased. All the same, i subscribed because it was pretty and a good place for ideas.

How dare them! I really like that magazine (currently have a subscription) and actually bought the book (super cute and very useful). I hate to say this but maybe Lucky should go. Some of the outfit ideas have been scaring me lately.
