Jan
sleeping on bollywood.

I’ll jump start.
The sum of my New Year’s parts? GT watched the infamous NYC ball drop in my jammies over a splendid styrofoam cup of “Andre’s” faux champagne and called it a night at 12:09 am. Blander than a pair of easy spirit shoes. Overall, the holiday was about R&R, QT and movies galore. But on a side note…and can I say this?! The T’s been sleeping on Bollywood. If you haven’t seen the film “Slumdog Millionaire” go see it and tell me if that was not the best film you’ve ever seen in your life! It made Benjamin Buttons seem like flavorless flat soda.
GT’s got some exciting stuff for the menu this week…some entrepreneurial inspiration, product roundups, a discount for GT readers and the cherry on top of the Get Togetha sundae: spiritual musings for those who want more than the esoteric of pretty stuff. And of course I wanna hear about your New Years or any Holiday driftwood you wanna share. Any bad gift stories? Engagements? Chia Pets? Decided to pitch the Newports? Do tell.
It’s good to be back. There’s nothing like the feeling of being out of town and having your browser stare back at you and shrug its shoulders. Nothing. And thanks dearly for voting for GT over at Apartment Therapy. Happy New Years to all and RIP Eartha Kitt. Let’s make this a good year and let’s take the high road as much as possible…there’s less traffic.

Yes! I reviewed Slumdog Millionaire on my blog too; LOVED IT! New Years was pretty low-key. Other than that I really enjoyed my break; very relaxing. Now I’m all stank-faced about being back at work.

GT! I MISSED YOU! !!! ! ! ! ! LOL! ! ! ! ! ! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
I hope you and all your bloglets had a Fab-lo-riffic Holiday Season!
I can’t tell you how good it feels to be back reading your wisdoms! LOL.
I am not familiar with Slumdog movie, HOWEVER, I did watch Seven Pounds and I cried for literally two days. Perhaps it is an un-confronted issue within me that allows fiction movies to consume me to the point that my emotional state is affected longer than the 2hr flic : \ … ANYHOO…. I am blessed to enter another year with MI Familia and our Health! I ENJOYED my vacation so much that today is my first day back and I’ve already entered my request for March!
Many hopes for a Healthy and Prosperous New Year!
First L8dy ….

Happy New Year! It’s good to see the posse again. I fell asleep at 10pm and missed the ball drop because I was exhausted. I love Bollywood and Mira Nair especially (Miss Masala anyone?). I’ll have to check out Slumdog because I heard it was wonderful from alot of people.
I hope that 2009 is wonderful for everyone!

Happy New Year Tee!
I saw Slumdog last month and I agree with your wholeheartedly…that flick was different..my New Years was spent at a casual Get Togetha and I helped out. It was the best time ever…I’m excited about Obama’s inauguration but I’m not sure whether I’m gonna brave the cold or watch it from home…good to have you back…I’m with first lady…I missed you…

It was a quaint new year that lasted a little too long. LOL.
Missed you, GT. I’ll be checking for the good stuff this week.
As for the new year, I’ll be trying to simplify and pay off these loans. And spend more time with the fam. That’s about it. =)
