What is your blog personality?
My blog personality is kind of a combination of a lot of things. I blog about life from a feminine and cultural perspective. My blog’s got a pinch of sass, a handful of diva, a lot of heart and loads of empowerment. I fell like everyone is made up of a plethora of things that makes them special so my blog is reflective of some of the things that I think makes me special; both as individual and woman. Whether it is a personal thought, a rant, an editorial piece or insightful tibits on life–its all there.

Who’s your blog crush?
I read so many blogs throughout the day its pretty difficult to narrow it down to a few that I really crush on. But some of my favorite daily reads are Clutch, Aliya S. King, Naked with Socks On, Awesomely Luvvie, What Would Thembi Do, SoulBounce, and a slew of others!

Mignon…tell us about your name….
Long story short…my parents thought I would be a boy until I came out all girl. (The sonograph technicians thought some swollen girl parts were boy parts.) So there they were with this little tiny baby with no name. I was not long about 6lbs at birth. They thumbed through baby books….my Dad wanted Renee but Mom thought it was too plain. She then came across a name of French origin, Mignon. In French it means “cute” while in English it means “petite and dainty.”

Last major purchase…
A laptop. I mailed my old one overseas for my husband to use while he was in Iraq. Thankfully he and the laptop came home in one piece.

What is your living style: city slicker, suburban sprawl, country living or your own island?
I would say a combination of  city slicker and suburban sprawl. I love the hustle and bustle of a big city cause I’m originally from DC; but the quaint neighborhoodness of a suburb can’t be beaten.

If you could write a book what would it be about?
I’m actually in the process of writing one. It’s mainly about love and the lessons learned in life while weather we’re trying to find it or run from it. Kind of like a Zane meets Eric Jerome Dickey written by the Mommy next door.

And finally if you could have anyone over for dinner alive or dead who would they be and what would you serve?
As artist at heart it would be a music inspired Get Togetha of soulful voices and empowered energy. Guest List: Nancy Wilson (Timeless Beauty), Aaliyah, A young Gerald Levert, Jada Pinkett-Smith and her band Wicked Wisdom, Maxwell (before the haircut), Tamia, Bernie Mac. I’d cook up some glazed turkey and spinach meat loaf, sweet potato souffle, oregano roasted broccoli/string bean mix for dinner. Desert: Peach Cobbler w/Pecan Crust and Vanilla ice cream with Raspberry Garnish.
