Cooley High Still

Leaving High-School is probably one of the most difficult transitions to make because for what its worth high-school is the last final frontier from the big bad world of adulthood and responsibility. Being a teen means that your filled with the idealism of friendship, the in crowd and the holy grail of making the right impression. But after 12th grade friends change, you change, people want you employed, and some even want rent. And that’s why I love this movie. It reminds me of that innocent time when you didn’t think about the future cause the future was about an inch deep.

60's Cool: Cooley High

Cooley High is like any teenage coming of age story…its  filled with the bumps, bruises and the pressures of wanting so bad to be be down with the in-crowd.  When you wanna get mad at today’s teens…watch Cooley High and you’ll remember that you were once that naive kid who had parents that were embarrassingly uncool. *Aaaahh*…the nostalgia.  The teens of Cooley high cut class, got into some hoodrat stuff, and made a ton of dumb mistakes.  Their world was a mile wide and inch deep. [Apple Jack Wool Cap, $45. Varsity Letter Jacket, $47.99. Vintage Glasses,$20. Mock Turtleneck, $16.50. Converse Classic Chuck Taylors, $45. Spalding NBA Varsity Basketball, $12.33. Laminate Top School Desk, $51.]

Cinema Style: This 70′s was all about funk, freedom, pride…and it wasn’t where you were from it was where you were at. Cooley High’s feel is grainy and nostalgic and is set in the urban landscape of Chi-Town’s concrete jungle. Directed by Eric Monte; co founder of Good Times and consequently the television series “What’s Happening?!! I bet you didn’t know that…
