Name: Adrienne Smith
Url: Mustard Seed Collective
City: Phoenix, AZ
Quote to live by: Faith without action is dead…
Adrienne has a beautiful blog, a kind spirit, a knockout decor eye and we both have ColdPlay in our Ipods…
The name of your blog “Mustard Seed Collective” is muy interesante…how did you arrive at that name for your blog?
I grew up in church and The Parable of the Mustard Seed was a passage that stuck with me. It speaks to the power of faith and how even if we have a little and hold onto it and work with it it will grow amazing results. The “Collective” part comes from my love of the word Collective…honestly I just like the way the word sounds.
What would you say are your passions?
Anything creative. I like to write fiction, design stationary and design crafts for my home.
Why do you feel home is important?
Home is where we can truly be ourselves and home should reflect your truest self: your beliefs on family, self and love.
What are the blog reads you can’t live without?
There’s so many…The Musings of Ondo Lady, AphroChic, A Life More Fabulous. The picture blogs on Tumbler are great too. And of course Get Togetha.
How has blogging changed your life? And what is your major challenge?
At first when I started I wanted to give myself six months so the fact that I’m still doing this is crazy to me cause I’m generally shy. Blogging in a way makes you feel vulnerable but it also helps you get over yourself and out of your head. My biggest challenge is coming up with fresh content or presenting content in a way no one else has.
Speed Round:
Heels, Flat or Kicks? Flats for everyday. Heels for getaways. And Kicks to runaway.
Favorite Color...Purple.
Denim or a Dress? Denim.
Mac or PC? PC…but I”m curious about those Macs…
Eat in or Dine out? Dine Out.
Wine or Tea? Long Island Ice Tea…I kidd…Rasberry….
What can readers expect from the Mustard Seed Collective in 2010?
1. To keep posting.2. To launch my own website…which I’ve been inspired to do since reading Blog Your Passion 3. To meet more women bloggers because I learn so much from so many different points of view.
And in Get Togetha Fashion if you could have anyone over for dinner alive or dead who would they be and what would you serve?
Hands down my Great-Grandma Mena. I never had the chance to know her but my family talks about her all the time. She carried a hatchet for protection when she walked her children to school in Miami’s Overtown neighborhood! With her being from the Bahamas I would serve her conch fritters.
